Enunciado del ejercicio nº 2

Dados los polinomios:

P(x) = 4·x² - x + 2

Q(x) = x³ + x - 1

R(x) = 2·x - 1

Hallar:

a) P(x) + Q(x)

b) P(x) + R(x)

c) Q(x)·R(x)

d) P(x)·Q(x)

e) P(x):R(x)

f) Q(x):R(x)

g) El resto de la división de P(x) por x - 1

h) P(-1)

i) P(-2) + [Q(-2)]²

j) El grado de [P(x)]⁴

Solución

a)

Se ordenan y completan los polinomios:

Resultado (a):

P(x) + Q(x) = x³ + 4·x² + 1

b)

Se ordenan y completan los polinomios:

Resultado (b):

P(x) + R(x) = 4·x² + x + 1

c)

Se hace distributiva:

Q(x)·R(x) = (x³ + x - 1)·(2·x - 1)

Q(x)·R(x) = x³·2·x + x·2·x - 1·2·x + x³·(-1) + x·(-1) - 1·(-1)

Q(x)·R(x) = 2·x⁴ + 2·x² - 2·x - x³ - x + 1

Ordenamos el polinomio y sumamos los términos de igual grado:

Resultado (c):

Q(x)·R(x) = 2·x⁴ - x³ + 2·x² - 3·x + 1

d)

Se hace distributiva:

P(x)·Q(x) = (4·x² - x + 2)·(x³ + x - 1)

P(x)·Q(x) = 4·x²·x³ - x·x³ + 2·x³ + 4·x²·x - x·x + 2·x + 4·x²·(-1) - x·(-1) + 2·(-1)

P(x)·Q(x) = 4·x⁵ - x⁴ + 2·x³ + 4·x³ - x² + 2·x - 4·x² + x - 2

Ordenamos el polinomio y sumamos los términos de igual grado:

Resultado (d):

P(x)·Q(x) = 4·x⁵ - x⁴ + 6·x³ - 5·x² + 3·x - 2
