Dados los siguientes polinomios:

P(x) = x² - 1

Q(x) = x + 1

R(x) = (x - 1)²

S(x) = (x + 1)²

Hallar:

Solución

a)

P(x) = x² - 1

Q(x) = x + 1

El numerador o dividendo es una diferencia de cuadrados, la factorizamos:

Simplificamos y obtenemos el resultado de la operación:

b)

P(x) = x² - 1

R(x) = (x - 1)²

S(x) = (x + 1)²

Sumamos las fracciones:

Desarrollamos los cuadrados de los binomios:

Aplicamos distributiva:

Dividimos:

Expresamos el resultado:

c)

P(x) = x² - 1

R(x) = (x - 1)²

Factorizamos la diferencia de cuadrados (quinto caso de factorización):

Simplificamos y obtenemos el resultado de la operación:
